The 48th Annual Conference of the Parasitological Society of Southern Africa

On behalf of the Parasitological Society of Southern Africa and the University of Namibia I am deeply pleased to invite all participants to the 48th Annual PARSA Conference to be held in the city of Windhoek, Namibia – popularly nicknamed ‘the land of the brave’, from 15-17 September 2019. This is the second time PARSA is organized by the University of Namibia and also held in Windhoek, Namibia; the first time being the 2006 PARSA Conference.

PARSA 2019 will be held under the theme ‘The mystery of the host-parasite association/ interactions’. This is appropriate at a time when despite major advances in recent research and cutting edge technologies, we still only know so much (albeit little) regarding the evolutionary arms race between hosts and parasites. PARSA 2019 will provide yet another opportunity for participants, to share, discuss, and debate research findings and discoveries regarding various aspects of parasitology.
