O R Tambo (ORT) International Airport, Johannesburg, is the main port of entry into South Africa.

Many major airlines fly to ORT, Johannesburg. There are direct flights from all continents.


Getting to Skukuza, Kruger National park, from Johannesburg.

  1. Direct flights to Skukuza: Airlink (a code-share partner of South African Airways) offers two daily return flights from Johannesburg (ORT Airport) to Skukuza, as well as a daily return flight from Cape Town International Airport to Skukuza. www.flyairlink.com

  2. Transfers from Skukuza airport to Skukuza rest camp: Avis Rent a Car has an office in Skukuza. Bookings can be made online at www.avis.co.za

  4. Rent a car at ORT airport and drive to Skukuza. It is about six hours’ drive (450km) on a toll road. Please note that driving at night is not permitted in Kruger National Park. Guests have to reach Skukuza by 18:00, at the latest.
